Some of What You'll Do:

The ARNP is a member of the Medical Staff Team of Columbia Wellness.  He\she has direct patient care service responsibilities. He\she complies with additional requests from the Medical Director.  He\she works under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  He\she will exemplify the mission and values of Columbia Wellness.
  • Provision of direct psychiatric services within the scope of credentials, training and license, and he\she will cross-cover with the other prescribers in times of absences.
  • Proper and timely documentation in the medical record of psychiatric services, not limited to comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment of patient. 
  • Order lab tests and x-rays when appropriate and interpret test results, prescribe medications and treatments and ongoing medication management. 
  • To instruct patients in preventative health medication instructions and self-care.
  • Respond to consultations and requests for specialty assessments, reporting back to referral source when appropriate. 
  • Consult with referring physicians and staff psychiatrist concerning patient evaluation and treatment. 
  • Participate in medical staff and treatment staffing team meetings. 
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and peer review process as requested. 
  • May supervise other clinical staff as requested, and participate in selected administrative duties as requested.
