Some of What You'll Do:

This position provides evidenced based behavioral health intervention in an integrated care residential treatment facility.  Individual, family, and group therapy are provided to treat a broad array of behavioral health disorders, including facilitation to a Medical Home. Clinical services are provided with a context of multi-agency collaboration with an emphasis on effective, outcome-oriented treatment.  Natural and formal supports are actively involved in treatment. Schedule is Sundays and Mondays. 

What We Require:

Direct Services to, or on behalf of, behavioral health clients:
  • Access individuals of all ages to determine diagnoses, needs, goals, strengths, supports, & culturally relevant issues impacting treatment needs
  • Develop a comprehensive initial treatment plan
  • Interact with all agency departments in order to ensure appropriate assessment and treatment of the individual, including the medical department, Crisis Response Services, WISe, adult treatment programs, and child/family treatment programs
  • Reassess existing clients, including adapting treatment plans in order to help individuals obtain maximum treatment benefit
  • Provide case-management services as necessary
  • Consult with relevant community agencies, the coordination of multi-agency services, and participation in multi-agency support teams on behalf of consumers
  • Consult, educate, and train to other individuals or agencies as deemed necessary
  • Develop & implement behavior plans for clients with behavior problems due to personality disorders or cognitive deficits with clients or caregivers
  • Oversee therapeutic and case-management services, which may be provided by counselors, counselor-techs, and counselor assistants for those clients assigned to the Therapist.
  • Participate in regular individual supervision from clinical manager.
  • Display a professional image to the community.
  • Ability to be flexible and manage urgent and crisis situations effectively.
  • Ability to motivate staff and develop a working team around individual cases.
  • Effective time management including but not limited to: planning ahead where possible and be punctual in person and work performed.
  • Build strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Be receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and embrace continuous improvement.
  • Complete all documentation, reporting, and other paperwork per agency standards.
  • Attend all appropriate staff, organizational, and external meetings (as assigned).
  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's or Nursing degree in counseling and/or social services related field from an accredited college or university required.

  • Two years' experience* in providing direct treatment to individuals with behavioral health needs required. *Recent graduates are not subject to the required two years' experience.  Recent graduates shall receive a higher level of supervision until they 1) meet the WAC Mental Health Professional definition, or 2) receive a MHP waiver.
  • Agency Affiliated Registration in Washington State is required, licensure preferred.

Salary: $29.80 - $32.79 per hour depending on education and experience.
