Some of What You'll Do:

The SUDPT is responsible for providing chemical dependency diagnosis and treatment and behavioral health services in a professional, positive, consumer-friendly, and recovery-focused manner.  The SUDPT is a core member of a collaborative care team that includes the patient's primary care provider; a consulting psychiatric provider; other behavioral health staff; and other primary care support and care coordination and behavioral health staff. The SUDPT is also responsible for coordinating referrals to clinically indicated services both within and outside the primary care clinic (e.g., social services, mental health specialty care, inpatient substance abuse treatment, housing, employment, peer support). 

What We Require:

  • Must have a SUDPT certification
  • Follow direction of SUDP Supervisor for addictions treatment services is required
  • Must be knowledgeable of Washington Administration Codes and the Revised Code of Washington, to ensue Unit compliance with all requirements
  • Must have working knowledge of ASAM Patient Placement Criteria as well as DSM IV
  • Must be knowledgeable of Washington Administration Codes and the Revised Code of Washington, to ensue Unit compliance with all requirements.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR, 45 CFR, and RCW 70.96A.
  • Ability to effectively engage clients in a therapeutic relationship.
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial treatments for common mental disorders.
  • Familiarity with brief, structured intervention techniques (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation).
  • Experience working with underserved, transient populations.
  • Experience working with patients who have co-occurring mental health, substance abuse, and physical health problems.
  • Experience working with safety net providers within the community and knowledge of community resources.
  • Prefer experience with evidence-based counseling techniques (12-Step).
  • Conduct UA's as assigned.

Salary: $20.25/hr.
