Some of What You'll Do:

Under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional, the Peer Counselor provides peer support services; serves as a consumer advocate; provides consumer information and peer support for consumers in a variety of settings.  The Peer Counselor performs a wide range of tasks to support consumers in living their own lives and directing their own recovery and wellness process. The Peer Counselor will model competency in recovery and wellness.

The Community Crisis Team is a person-centered, recovery-oriented, self-contained mental health service delivery model that utilizes a trans-disciplinary team serving high risk, seriously mentally ill, emotionally disturbed, intellectually deficient and dually diagnosed individuals in acute crisis.  Team members share responsibilities for addressing the needs of individuals and frequent contacts. Services are available 24/7 and directed to individual needs with 80% of outreach delivered in the community. The Community Crisis Team services are individually tailored with each individual through relationship building, individualized assessment and planning. Services also include active involvement with individuals to enable each to find and live in their own residence, to find and maintain work in community jobs, to better manage symptoms, to achieve individual goals, to maintain optimism, and to recover. 

Note: Some job duties may vary and /or may be assigned as the program develops.

What We Require:

  • Obtain and maintain Certification Peer Counselor
  • Agency Affiliated Registration in Washington State is required.

Salary: $16.00/hour
